Our department has a mutual Double Major Program agreement with the History, Geography, and Philosophy Departments. Our students can apply for the Double Major Program in the first semester of their second year and the first semester of their third year.
Double Major Application and Admission Requirements
To be eligible to apply for the Dual Degree Program, students must have taken and passed all courses in their primary undergraduate program up to the semester of application.
At the time of application, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and be ranked in the top 20% of their class in their primary degree program.
Students can apply at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest, or at the latest at the beginning of the fifth semester for four-year programs, the seventh semester for five-year programs, and the ninth semester for six-year programs.
A student cannot be placed in more than one CAP or both a CAP and a minor program at the same time.
No additional classes are opened for CAP. Students applying for CAP continue their courses together with the students of that department.
Students graduating from a minor program will graduate after completing 240 ECTS credits, as required by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), and will receive a diploma supplement.
**Minor Application and Admission Requirements
Students may apply for an announced minor program at the beginning of the earliest 3rd and latest 5th semester of their major undergraduate program.
To be eligible to apply for a minor, the student must have taken and passed all courses in the major undergraduate program up to the semester of application.
The student's cumulative GPA at the time of application must be at least 2.50.
A student cannot be placed in more than one minor program or in both a double major and a minor program at the same time.
