Admission and Registration Requirements
a) Candidates for the doctorate program must have a master's degree. b) Candidates who will apply to graduate programs must get a higher score than the ALES verbal score type or the equivalent score announced by the Higher Education Council for an exam accepted as equivalent to the ALES Verbal score type by the Interuniversity Board. c) A score of at least 55 from YDS / ÜDS or an equivalent score from an exam recognized by the Interuniversity Board. d) The University Senate can raise the base points if necessary. f) In the evaluation of student admission to doctoral programs 50% of the ALES score, 30% of the undergraduate average and 20% of the interview result are collected. Candidates who are not interviewed are accepted. This total must be at least 65. Candidates above this base score are ranked from the highest score and placed in the relevant programs according to the announced quotas. In case of equality of points, candidates with a high ALES score are preferred. Specific Arrangements For Recognition of Prior Learning (formal, in-formal, non-formal) 1) Admission requirements for postgraduate transfer students are as follows: a)Having successfully completed at least one semester in the relevant university or another institute within the high technology institute or in the graduate program of another higher education institution. b) To meet the admission requirements for postgraduate programs announced by the university. c) Grade point average must be at least 70 for master's degree with thesis and non-thesis, and at least 80 for PhD and proficiency in art programs. (2) Transfers are made between national and international graduate programs that provide equivalent education and recognized by the Higher Education Council. At the end of each semester, the relevant department / department notifies the directorate about the transfer student quotas that they can accept in the next semester. Quotas are discussed at the institute board and presented to the Rectorate. (3) Candidates make their applications for undergraduate transfer within the application period specified in the announcement and with the required documents to the relevant institute directorate. (4) Candidates are evaluated and ranked by the relevant department by taking into account the students’ success grade received from the undergraduate, graduate or doctorate programs and credit hours and this ranking is finalized by discussion at the institute board of directors. (5) During the adjustment process, the courses that the students have to take and exempted courses are determined by the proposal of the head of the department and the decision of the institute board of directors.
Qualification Requirements and Rules
1)The period for completing the doctorate program is eight semesters. This period is maximum 12 semesters with an extension of four semesters. A student who does not fulfill his / her obligations within this period can register to continue his / her education provided that he / she pays the tuition fee or tuition fee for the relevant semester. In this case, except for participating in courses and exams and preparing a thesis, their student status continues without benefiting from other rights granted to students. (2) For the doctorate program, the maximum duration of successfully completing at least 24 credits and 60 ECTS course load, at least 120 ECTS thesis study and at least one seminar is four semesters, provided that it is not less than 7 courses. (3) A student who successfully completes his credit courses, is successful in the qualifying exam and whose thesis proposal has been accepted, but cannot take the thesis exam because he cannot complete his thesis study until the end of six years, is given new periods of at least six months each time to defend his thesis before the jury. (4) Those who do not successfully complete their credit courses within this period and those who cannot complete their thesis study within the maximum period of time can register to continue their education, provided that they pay the student tuition fee or tuition fees for the relevant semester according to the conditions specified in Article 46 of the Law numbered 2547. In this case, their student status continues without benefiting from the other rights granted to students, except for participating in lectures and exams and preparing a thesis.

Exams, Measurement and Evaluation
The student has to get at least 60 in general average at the end of the visa, final and similar evaluations to be applied by the lecturer. Otherwise, it will be considered unsuccessful in that course. Graduation Requirements Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a doctorate diploma provided that they meet all the requirements of the regulation and other conditions.

Establishment
The Institute of Social Sciences was established on 22.01.1985 in accordance with the 19th article of the Higher Education Law numbered 2547, and has been serving in the UZEM building on Kurupelit campus since 2000.
Degree Earned
Students who are admitted to the doctorate program with a master's degree are awarded a doctorate diploma in the field of Turkish Language and Literature upon the completion of a minimum of 24 credits and 60 ECTS course load in at least seven courses, a minimum of 120 ECTS thesis/artwork, and at least one seminar within the allocated time. Students who are admitted to the doctorate program with a bachelor's degree are awarded a doctorate diploma in the field of Turkish Language and Literature upon the completion of a minimum of 44 credits and 120 ECTS course load in at least seven courses, a minimum of 120 ECTS thesis/artwork, and at least two seminars within the allocated time.

Admission and Registration Conditions
1- Candidates must have a bachelor's degree or a master's degree with thesis, a diploma of at least ten semesters of medicine, dentistry and veterinary faculties excluding preparatory classes, a bachelor's or master's degree from the faculty of pharmacy and science or the expertise gained in a laboratory branch according to the principles regulated by the Ministry of Health.
2- Candidates whose field of science is related to a foreign language must score a minimum of 70 points in YDS/ÜDS (or an equivalent score from any exam accepted by the Interuniversity Board) for a master's degree in a foreign language, and at least 80 points in YDS/ÜDS (or an equivalent score from any exam accepted by the Interuniversity Board) for a doctorate.
